Founder, Nathaniel White Feather, is an equine enthusiast, trained in Native American horsemanship and life long student of the horse, as well as an all around project manager! From training the horses, demonstrating proper posture and commands, to landscaping and putting up fences, White Feather is willing to do what ever it takes to ensure that White Feather Native American Horsemanship and the White Feather Foundation are successful and helps as many people as possible. Nathaniel’s knowledge and experience in relationship building through Native American horsemanship is an invaluable gift and talent when it comes to marketing and management for the equine facility and the farm. His "real" job is in the limousine industry serving people, training drivers and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Our staff of professional Trail Bosses, Guides and Volunteers are seasoned and skilled in practical Native American Horsemanship, with a heavy emphasis on relationship riding for both the host horse and the guest rider. We rely on excellence in training for your safety and the best possible saddles for your enjoyment and comfort.
Affectionately called employees, our horses are the culmination of years of horsemanship education. The herd varies in breed and color because our finished horses are for sale as western pleasure trail stock.

Each one is nurtured with much love, discipline, and relationship in the Native American style of Yield to Surrender; Surrender to Serve. The end result is a very trusting companion horse, bred for your western riding pleasure. White Feather Foundation Inc is proud to acknowledge the wonderful donations from those patrons who believe in our good medicine. We have extended in-kind services to autistic individuals and their parents along with the Wounded Warrior Project. As a result of our kindness, others have gifted our foundation some most beautiful and fantastic horsesfor training and teaching.

Our facility is situated on picturesque acres, in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We presently have 4 fields, 3 riding trail areas, and a equine training "round pen". We currently do not have an indoor riding area, but would love to construct one as soon as we can raise the funds. We are constantly striving to improve our facility.
